There is substantial evidence that cross-racial eyewitness identifications, and particularly eyewitness identifications of African Americans by whites, are unreliable.

You'll be looking at "participant observation studies." If you like "people watching," this type of research is right up your alley. However, please be advised that "people watching" comes with its own set of "cautions and warnings" (i.e., it can be "dangerous"). To that end, this week's discussion prompt follows:
