Third would be to have sufficient valid selection methods to defend against unlawful hiring. The challenge that you raise about the time frame for multiple hurdles which would have added the drug, background and reference checking for external applicants would extend the decision time frame. Is it worth it for the organization to go through the full multiple hurdle process with the risk of viable candidates losing interest in the position? Did you find the organizations that hired you used more subjective or objective information in their hiring decision? Any concerns about this?
