Elizabeth Holmes founded Theranos. She was hailed as a visionary and compared to Steve Jobs for her medical innovation. Her company sold shares of stock in the company and at its peak, the company was valued at $9 billion. Theranos and Elizabeth Holmes were frauds.

She had invented Theranos which was a device that could be used to do diagnostic tests by using one or two drops of blood. The fraud was related to inefficiency of the device that she had invented. It did not work as she had promised. She defrauded the investors, doctors, and patients. She did not disclose the fact that the device is inefficient and it gives inaccurate results.
