For this assignment, pick a magazine (or newspaper) ad for a product, e.g. a car, a life insurance company etc. Please answer the following questions:

1. Who is the target market for the ad? (Note that the newspaper or magazine itself is related to the target market.)

2. In relation to effectiveness of the ad:

a. What do you think is the communication objective of this ad? Identify which objective(s) specified in the Extended AIDA model the ad is trying to meet (awareness, knowledge, liking, preference, conviction, and purchase). Elaborate on your reasoning.

b. Do you think the ad is effective in meeting its objectives? Why / why not?

3. Recommend at least one additional media type (TV, internet, radio etc.) for the advertisement/campaign. For the media type you selected, explain why you chose that media type and specify which vehicles you would prefer. For example, if you chose magazines, also discuss which magazines, if it is TV, discuss which channels, and which shows you would like to advertise in. Defend your choices briefly.
