SANTA FE, NM (AP) A New Mexico woman is suing a novelty products maker over a flask that includes her likeness and the phrase, "I'm going to be the most popular girl in rehab."

Veronica Vigil alleges in her federal court lawsuit that Anne Tainter, Inc. obtained and used her high school graduation picture from 1970 without her permission. The lawsuit says the Brooklyn, New York-based company then defamed Vigil by linking her image to a product that makes light of substance abuse.

Pittsburgh Sued Over SWAT Raid on Wrong Home
Pittsburgh Post Gazette, 8.13.15 by TorstenOve

A north side family sued Pittsburgh police on Thursday, saying the SWAT team kicked in their door by mistake, terrorized them and left without apology.

Tabatha Werkmeister and Grinage Dion Wilson filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court claiming the SWAT unit raided their apartment on Jan. 25 without cause or a warrant, forcing them and their four children into the cold and holding them in the back of a police truck for about an hour.
No one in the family was sought by the police and there was no warrant. Officers should have known they had the wrong address, the suit said.

The suit said the SWAT team arrived at the Brighton Heights duplex where the family was sleeping on the second and third floors. Someone else lived in the first-floor apartment who was apparently the target of the raid.

According to the complaint, police kicked down the wrong door, threw a smoke bomb and then carried two of Ms. Werkmeister's sons to a police van. Neither child was wearing pants or shoes.

Werkmeister, Mr. Wilson and two other children were then forced out into the snow, also without shoes. Officers held the family in the van for about an hour, eventually letting them back into their house. One officer handed Mr. Wilson a card and told him to hire someone to fix the broken door. Werkmeister was told she should have a number on the door.
