This assignment will enable you to concretely apply the critiques you have explored to ideas for change. By describing potential steps to take along the continuum of action (at personal, communal, and systemic levels), you will begin to understand the possibilities and the challenges facing Christians who seek to combat racism in their own hearts, churches, and larger communities.

Compose a paper detailing one personal, one communal, and one systemic action you could take to address racism in the spheres you inhabit. Explore what steps you would need to take to adequately execute the action. Questions to consider for each action (individual questions are optional; use as prompts to ensure each action is fully discussed):

Who are the stakeholders? Who is most likely to be impacted by this? Who is important to get on board?
What are the issues you are discussing? What are we talking about here? What are the explicit details?
Where will this action be implemented: at church, at work, at home? Where will you find time to act? Where will you make this a priority, and where will you allow it to be a back burner issue (or not an issue at all)?
How will this action happen? How will this action be impeded?
