While Jeff understands that the competition is making changes and should watch their progress, he also needs to understand Perry's Printing is already offering many of the "green" features that the competition is placing in their offerings. Jeff knows that he needs to be cognizant of Donovan's strategy, and they need to respond from a place of power. While no response is a response to show that Perry's Printing is not phased by the new offering, a better response is to show that while the competition claims they are making a green initiative, Perry's printing has had these practices in their strategy for the last 70 years. The response should be subtle, yet highly compelling. Jeff does not want to come off overzealous as this can be perceived as greenwashing, yet he wants to emphasize the importance of Perry's business strategy (Edwards, 2022).
