Question: Ambiguity and Offer Acceptance A potential landlord offers to lease office space to you for $1000 per month. You say, "Awesome! I love this space, and that's a fantastic price!" If you don't say anything else, you have not accepted the offer because your response was ambiguous. You never explicitly affirmed that you were accepting the offer, and you left room for yourself to ponder the decision further. If you had instead said, "Awesome! That's a great deal, and I'll take it," then you would have accepted the offer because there is no way to interpret your statement as anything other than an acceptance of the offer. In general, is it immoral to be purposefully vague or misleading with your words as long as you are not being untruthful? Why or why not? Can you think of a scenario in which your words might be ambiguous in response to an offer, but your actions made it clear you wanted to accept the offer?
