Problem 4 - When establishing the roles and importance of family, friends, and carers in the person's recovery journey, it is important for you as the community service worker to determine the relationship that already exists between the person and their social network. For example, if the person identifies that their family can often be hostile or their friends don't-seem to understand what they are going through, this won't provide them with the support they need to recover. What are some of the ways in which you can explore the person's relationship with their social network?
Problem 5 - There is a range of formal supports for people living with mental illness that are in place to meet the needs of the individual and support them in achieving their recovery-oriented goals. These formal supports include health professionals, support workers, and case managers. For each of these formal supports, provide a brief outline of their role and responsibilities in providing support to the consumer:

Problem 6 - As stated in the Recovery Guide, "many services and supports outside the mental health system play an important role in helping to promote recovery and wellbeing by connecting people with their communities, traditions, and cultures and reconnecting them with their developmental trajectories." What are some of the ways in which you can ensure there is a coordinated approach to these different models of care?
Problem 7 - There has been a lot of change in the way we understand and treat mental illness from historical times to now. These changes have occurred through research-based practices, social views, and political influences. For example, back in the 1700s, witchcraft was blamed for mental illness and people were "set free" by being burnt at the stake. This was the social view at the time and there were no government standards that stated what health professionals could and couldn't do in treating people with mental illness. By the 1900s doctors realized the brain caused mental illness and asylums and institutions were built to house and treat people with mental illness. There was often a heavy stigma associated with people with mental illness and they were often left to live out their days in the institutions. This started to change by the late 1900s and people with mental illness were beginning to be reintroduced back into the community. Based on the changes that have occurred throughout history, write briefly about your understanding of the current service delivery model for people with mental illness, how this impacts people's social views, and the policy contexts that assist to implement it.
Problem 8 - The recovery guide for practitioners and providers states that workers are required to "collaboratively work through differences of opinion, negotiate and resolve conflict and establish a mutually acceptable compromise or middle ground".What is a minimum of 4 basic negotiation and conflict resolution techniques you could use to support this?
Problem 9- Read the following case the study

You, as the mental health worker, recognize that there are a number of issues impacting on Jane's ability to comply with the strategies that fall out of the scope of your role.
