Problem

Tom is a 39 y.o. male on the medical floor for severe abdominal pain. Infection, pancreatitis as well as many other common GI conditions associated with abdominal pain have been ruled out. He had 5 inches of his colon removed 8 weeks ago. His diet has been advanced to regular and he appears to be tolerating it ok but he doesn't have a great appetite so he is not eating much. He has been prescribed pain meds but he wants to stop taking them as soon as possible. Which would you recommend Tom try at home to alleviate his abdominal pain.
