Case Study: Sophie came to Australia as an international student to pursue her master's degree in Business Information Systems. She studied IT in Nepal. Her brother owns a Fashion outlet back in Nepal. She worked in that store before she came to Australia.

After coming to Sydney, she joined a medium sized organization that imports clothes from various countries including Nepal and sells them in the local stores. She works only on weekends which was easy for her to study on weekdays and work on weekends. She learned a lot about Australian customers and Exporters in Nepal.

As a student specializing in IS, she always read about online businesses such as Kogan ( and Catch . She always thought that the way forward for her employer is to go online like the others.

One day she sat with her employer, Peter, and explained her idea about online shop. Her idea was simple, convert their store into a clothes warehouse and set up an online shop, advertise and sell their products online along with the current outlet.

Peter liked the idea and asked Sophie to investigate it further. She came to you for help.
