Question: Should Suma Stay or Leave e-net Global Ltd company?
e-net Global Ltd. Company has obtained a license for manufacturing state of the art machinery in Rangpur. The company is having a proven track record of three decades in marketing, sales, service and refurbishing of similar equipment imported from the collaborator.
Situation: Ms. Suma, is a talented graduate computer engineer selected by the company at campus interview, along with a couple of her classmates, with an assurance of getting a chance to work on a new project. This may give her a training opportunity abroad. She is happy as work, money and status are at her door! Now, she can give better life to her retired parents.
Happening: She has joined after signing a bond. The HRD has given a one-year training program comprising of three months in each of the four different departments. A week passes by, and Suma and her course mates find out that the proposed project is yet to begin. She is required to work on nothing but recycling of old machines, from opening packages, dismantling, washing them in diesel etc. etc. ...This work is a mismatch to her core competencies
One fine day: During lunch break Suma met Mr. Sadaf Rumi, another computer engineer graduated from another local university and also having a Masters' degree in Business. He has joined one week after her with a better pay packet and only a 4-month training period that means only one month in each of the 4 different departments. While having lunch at the company cafeteria, Mr. Rumi got introduce to all the other new recruits. And he boasted about how the company has given him a better deal, and has also promised to place him on a higher-level job after his 4-month training period. After hearing Rumi's bragging, Suma felt cheated by the company and got worried about her career development prospect.
