A 23-year-old woman is admitted to the hospital following a suicide attempt. Her father reports a 3-week history of depressed mood, poor sleep, loss of interest in her hobbies, and low energy. She has a past medical history of recurring yeast infections, general tonic-clonic seizures, and schizophrenia. She is prescribed medication for depression and is asked to follow up in 2 weeks.
