Suppose the cost functions for building highrise apartments is tied not only to the height H but also the basic material used--brick, concrete, steel. The three cost functions are shown below:

Brick TC = 90, 000 + 4,000H
Concerete : TC = 180,000 + 3,000H
Steel: TC = 320,000 + 2,000H

Which material would you recommend for a building where H is:
(a) 80
(b) 100
(c) 150

Hint: Solve for the H where the costs are the same ( brick = concrete, concrete = steel) ( break-even points) and compare the above H to these points.
