Assignment Description - I did a questionnaire for my internship and having some problems with analysing the results. My research question is "which factors play a role in the choice to follow a(n) (intercultural) training course for millennials?". I surveyed both millennials and non-millennials, and the idea is that the non-millennial group examined for possible differences (t-test?). My hypotheses are based on 3 factors.:
1. Millennials are more likely to follow an intercultural training session than non-millennials when this is provided by their university or employer;
2. Millennials prefer online/ blended (partly online, partly face-to-face) training more than face-to-face training in comparison to non-millennials;
3. There is a positive relation between intercultural training and the need for self-development of millennials (these need to be coded at q23 as these are filled in by respondents themselves).
Self-development phrases by millennials are:
To gain knowledge and to settle down
Learn theories and tools how to apply them in real life
How cultural awareness is created.
Language skills understand different cultures, be able to communicate effectively, discover similarities, learn more about myself
I wanted to enrich my communication skills and make myself for employable
For my research report, I need to report the means, standard deviation, statistical significance.
In the end, I have to give advice to the company I do my internship at. They want to cater more to the needs of millennials in relation to intercultural training. Oficielly my deadline is on Tuesday, so bit later than the time I have indicated is also fine.
