Question: There is much that can be done to reduce the impact of chronic disease and at the same time prevent the occurrence of such disease particular in elderly people. Attempts to improve the quality of old age require an understanding of the risk factors for common disease among the elderly and the efficacy of strategies to decrease the risk of morbidity (NCBI); Inter-organizational networks would play a great deal in this. These networks will be used to harness the priorities, capacities, and skills of various agencies and individuals to form a pool that will effectively address the course of action to be taken. When networks are formed, it will provide a platform by which effective measures will be discussed and the type of research undertaken to curb this impact of these diseases. I also believe that education to people on the measure to take to prevent the chronic disease would be effective. Considering that most people who are affected by such diseases are not aware of the causal factors it would be great for them to be informed on ways to live healthily. They also need to be providing with science-based information that addresses chronic disease risks and strategies to
