How would you respond to this? The visualization I have chosen was Sales and Margin Dashboard created by Tableau Accelerators. This visualization dashboard displays a sales analysis software. The reason I chose this visualization is because I have a small candle business. It can be hard to track sales, especially when I sell online, at farmer's markets, and wholesale to other businesses. Tableau Accelerators target audience is expert analytical users that can find use in this type of data. However, I believe that anyone in a business can use this type of visualization to understand their sales even if they are not experts. The sales dashboard is broken down into different tabs from the Home tab to the tabs that have information in regard to their customer base, product, etc. The purpose of the visualization is to show how well the company is doing in the sales department. This is conveyed by using bar and line graphs. Graphs can help a company identify loss and gain quickly instead of comparing numbers on a chart. The graphs are easy to understand and they use a color palette that does not take away from the data but instead helps distinguish each individual one. The font used looks professional and legible. The order of the data is laid out to prioritize the executive summary of the sales by making it one of the first tabs that can be clicked on. The information can seem overwhelming at first but when analyzed further the data becomes easier to understand. This is the prompt In response to at least two of your peers, address the following:
