Characterize a newly discovered, fictitious neurotransmitter

The small-group project 1 follows the first module of the course, which covers neuroanatomy, molecular neuroscience, action potential, synaptic signaling, and experimental neuroscience.

You and a group colleagues discover a novel neurotransmitter DRACULIN. Design and describe a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments that you would conduce to characterize this neurotransmitter. What features of the neurotransmitter would it be important to figure out in this initial characterization?

Assume that you have access to any reagent, resource or methodology you need. Of course these should be reality based.
