350- to 700-word paper which addresses the following questions:

• How have your attitude or perspectives on management changed or been reinforced by this course?

• Which concept or piece of new information most surprised you? Why?

• What knowledge or insights gained from this course will be the most useful or important to you as you proceed with your career? Why?

Application Assignments must be in APA style and format.

Before taking the course, I always thought management only involves planning and executing organizational objectives. After taking this course, I have realized that there is a lot involved in management.

For instance, the managers have to analyze the information about the organization and the return data in order to come up with the optimization strategies. Apart from making strategies, I also realized that managers have to perform performance evaluations, and are themselves subject to evaluations.

The fact that managers are also evaluated is the piece of information that surprised me the most. My prior belief was that the manager is the overall authority. As I proceed with my career, I will always remember that, as a manager, I have to stay ahead in terms of information and ensure that I am always approachable.
