Mini English Paper

Since we're beginning this quarter with fandoms and things that you like, this mini project will help you engage even further with your fandom. For this mini project, you will choose to either create or archive at least one artifact from the fandom you have chosen to write about.

CHOICE A

In this version, you may choose to use your artistic or other talents to create something that might fit into the world of your fandom. You might think about creating fan art, fan fiction, writing a poem dedicated to the fandom or a character, writing a song, creating a website, making a costume, etc. Whatever you choose to do it must be original. Once you have created your artifact, you will write a 100+ word explanation of what it is and how it represents the fandom you are in. This is a creative choice therefore effort and creativity will be rewarded more so than talent.

CHOICE B

In this version, you may choose to find at least one thing or a collection of things that someone else has created as an artifact of your fandom which can be in any of the categories above as well: fan art, fan fiction, writing a poem dedicated to the fandom or a character, writing a song, creating a website, making a costume, etc. Whatever you choose, you will need to provide a link to it and then write a 500+ word explanation of what this is, what it is showcasing, and why you think this piece best represents your fandom.
