The African-American experience in colonial times. Appreciating that each region of North America was different, slave conditions were different as well. Here is where your knowledge of history will perhaps save you from the worst curse of slavery if suddenly you were forced back in time to become a slave in colonial America.

PARAGRAPH #1: Suppose by some extraordinary trick of fate you were transformed into a slave in North America for three years. But suppose also you could choose where to live and what kinds of jobs you would be enslaved to do for 3 years. Where would you live and what job would you do, if you had to pick the place and the conditions where you would suffer the LEAST? Give at least 3 reasons why you would choose this kind of slave to be.

PARAGRAPH #2: Suppose by some extraordinary trick of fate you were transformed into a slave in North America for three years but this time all you could do is make sure you are NOT transformed into a slave in one certain region and with certain jobs. Where would you LEAST like to be a slave and what jobs would you consider that most terrible that slaves were forced to do? Give at least 3 reasons why you would choose NOT to be this kind of slave living in this region.
