Tracy is an executive at a large, well-established telecommunications company. She has been researching a new specialized technology. She is excited about its applications for their city-wide fibreoptic cable networks. Tracy is looking forward to argue for her idea as she walks into their major strategy meeting. However, shortly after it begins, the other execs joke about what a terrible time it is to invest in new technology. When the meeting agenda reaches Tracy's point, she says, "It's not important," and they move on.
