Planned Emergency Landing Cards (PELCs) are carefully designed and written so that they help Cabin Crew prepare passengers for a planned emergency landing. For this reason, the cards are:

  • printed on hard stock paper,
  • designed with large font type,
  • staged in steps,
  • split into specific duties, and
  • in some places, shaded blue
