A pendulum 2 meters long is positioned so that the pendulum bob is at the focus of a concave mirror when the bob is at rest. The bob is then displaced halfway to the mirror and released.

1. When will the pendulum bob produce a real image in the mirror? Can a virtual image of the pendulum bob ever be formed?

2. Where along the principle axis will an image NOT be formed in the above situation?
