1. Implementing KM in a hospital
The medical field in recent years has been facing increasing pressures for lower cost and increased quality of healthcare. An organisation can lower its cost through elimination of non value-added activities and enhance quality of service through process control. It is perceived that knowledge management can signifi- cantly increase the efficiency of operations.
As a consultant, you have been assigned the task of implementing knowledge management at a large hospital to improve the quality of service. Identify the knowledge assets of the hospital and formulate a KM strategy that would help them improve their efficiency and brand name.
