In each module/week of the course you will write a journal entry based on a provided prompt. This prompt is to encourage you to reflect on what you have learned throughout each module/week of this course. There is not a minimum or maximum word count per week, but you will be graded on quality of response. It is expected that you have honestly and fully reflected on each prompt in your post. Your instructor will be the only one who will see your journal entry.
Module: Conduct a brief survey (not interview)/research on any individual you deem a leader in history. Specifically, I am looking for people who have passed away so you can see and consider their entire legacy. Summarize this leader's role in leadership and what made them a leader worth following. The leader could be a religious leader, political leader, military leader, business leader, or a historical leader. Make sure the leader you choose is someone with a similar type of leadership domain as you currently have or hope to have in the future. Therefore, chaplaincy students should survey someone tangentially related to the ministry of the chaplain while a Human Services student should probably survey someone in the field of counseling or human services. Seminary students should likewise survey a leader in the field of ministry similar to your future goals. Make sure this is a leader you would be willing to follow. Then explain what you think makes this leader one that is worth emulating? What about this leader's life encouraged others to follow him/her?
