Principles and Practice of Public Health
Complete your individual reflection
Your reflection on Assessment Task 3 has two components:
Question 1. Your reflection on how your team has operated, and what you have learned about teamwork, including your own teamwork skills, what you would do differently next time [300 words]
o This aspect of the reflection will explore your reflections on your own contributions to the team effort and the final product (the presentation) as well as reflections on how the team functioned. For example, what did you learn about yourself in a team? What would do differently next time you are required to work in a team?
o Remember, teamwork is critical in the workplace, and it is important that you work hard to develop your teamwork skill set while studying this unit and others in your degree. TEAMWORK is also one of Deakin's core Graduate Learning Outcomes for its students/ graduates. So, this assessment task deliberately helps you to work and reflect on this vital, but often undervalued, skill set.
Question 2. Your reflection on what you have been learning in public health and how it relates to your future career aspirations [200 words].
o Having got to the end of this foundation unit, what have you learned about public health that particularly interests you?
o What steps might you take to enhance your career prospects in your public health journey?
o What have you learned about public health from the unit content and from watching the other presentations; what are the most interesting and important aspects of this new knowledge and insights into public health to you?
o What knowledge and skills are you developing that will help take you into a public health career?
o Where do you see your career heading in public health?
