Case Assignment
Analyst must keep their finger on the pulse of current issues, trends and considerations surrounding both information technology systems and the specific industries that use them. The Internet provides a wealth of resources containing valuable and relevant information and knowledge that help analysts to be well informed.
For this assignment, you will perform an Internet search and look for web sites and resources that provide information related to legal, ethical and security issues and considerations surrounding health information systems. You are asked to narrow your review to five sources from the search results that are not advertising.
Hints: Best results will be obtained by using the Google search engine and the Advanced Search features to search for items that include combinations of words such as "legal," "ethical," "auditing," "control," "security, "heath information," "analysis," or "HIPAA" and exclude the words "course" and "book." Also be sure to examine the links offered by professional organizations.
Write a scholarly report on the results of your Internet research that addresses the following items:
Explain how you performed your search (what search criteria and/or rules you used).
Describe in detail each of the five sites that you reviewed (include the URLs) and explain why you selected the site, list key points and information you found, and describe what you learned from information presented on the site. In your paper, clearly organize your discussion surrounding each site according to the respective URL.
Summarize your overall findings and what you collectively learned from your search effort and selected web sites. Be sure to include what you found to be important key concepts, points and information along with any contrasting views that you may have found.
From your examination, provide any conclusions that you may have drawn and or recommendations you can make from your investigation and review of the web sites.
Assignment Expectations
Use information from the modular background materials and case assignment narrative as well as any quality resources you can find via the online libraries or Internet.
LENGTH: 3-4 pages typed and double spaced using 12pt Times New Roman font and 1 inch page margins.

Presentation of key requirements surrounding HIPAA and its significance in analysis of health care related information systems.
Explanation of the significance of auditing, control and security along with key dimensions and issues relevant to systems analysis.
Use and application of literature, expert opinion and case examples from your research to support your position, key points and explanations. Follow APA format for your paper including in-text citations and references.
