Problem: The purpose of this section is to reflect on one privilege you do not have in your life as a student at CSU Chico & analyze it theoretically from a specific social justice theory. In order for your paper to be the best it can be, you should choose something that is especially pertinent & meaningful for you. For example, deafness has impacted my University life in a significant way. I would explain how audism has been a challenge in my University life, & then explore it from Critical Disability Theory. What would your chosen theory state about the origin of this problem & how might it help you understand its systemic development & maintenance? Lastly, how would this social justice theory recommend you address this problem? Be sure to discuss the connection between your individual experience of the social justice issue & the connection to systemic opportunities &/or barriers i.e. access to higher education & support for yourself & others at the University similar to you.
