Question: Think of the stigma regarding mental illness that you have learned about so far in class. What would you tell a patient asking you about a particular condition? How do would you phrase your teaching? What tactics would you use in order to help a patient remember and understand. There are many methods to convey education: radio campaigns, and health fairs to name a few. you will be creating a flyer or brochure for your patient based off one of the conditions that we have learned about so far in class. This brochure should be creative and to the point for your patients to help them retain the information you feel is necessary for them to know. You may choose from: anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and somatic symptom disorders. Included in this flyer or brochure should be: Definition of your chosen mental disorder Symptoms of your chosen mental disorder At least 2 nonpharmacologic interventions (define these) At least 2 pharmacological interventions (Include the type of medication: antidepressant, etc. And include if there is a black box warning, and 2 common side-effects to be aware of)
