The collective bargaining process involves a great deal of preparation, information, assessment, research and strategy both at and away from the negotiating table. Assuming you are the Union Representative and are trying to achieve a wage increase for your members in contract negotiations:

-What would you do to prepare for negotiations?

-What strategies would you use during the actual bargaining session (with your team and the management team in the room, exchanging and discussing proposals)?

-What would one do after the session ends, and before the next session?Be sure to take into account persuasive tactics, possible areas of compromise, and anticipated objections to your proposal.
