Case - Tony is a 35-year-old plumber who emigrated from the UK some 6 years ago. Tony is married to Julie 38, and they have a 4-year-old daughter Chloe. Julie has become increasingly worried about Tony's behaviour. Tony has not seemed like himself for several months now. He has withdrawn from his friends, no longer is interested in sport, rarely goes to work, and has both emotionally and physically distanced himself from Julie and Chloe. In fact, Julie has noticed that Tony is becoming increasingly paranoid about his friends, next door neighbours and even herself and Chloe. Julie has also noticed that Tony has become increasingly aggressive, which is very unlike his typical demeanour. In fact, Julie has become increasingly fearful that he might harm her or Chloe. When she suggested that he seek some help, Tony made a fist at Julie and yelled that 'doctors have always had it in for him'. He then stormed out of the house, returning drunk some 8 hours later.

Although she had not seen this behaviour in Tony before, he did admit to Julie that this happened to him once back home in the UK when he was younger and that doctors put him on some medication that made him feel like a 'zombie'.

Julie is fearful that Tony is experiencing another psychotic episode and wants to both help Tony and protect herself and Chloe.
