Question - If you are receiving flat payments of 120,000 per year in retirement income for 36 years the total value of the payments would be 4,320,000. But if the inflation rate was 4% per year, what would the total value of all the payments be (what would the actual purchasing power of the total payments be) when adjusted for the decline in value due to inflation? If possible, please sow calculation in terms of present value and future value for number (N) and inflation rate.
