A suspicious van is parked on a street. The car smells like "rotten egg", which is the characteristic smell of propane gas (?HG = 48000 kJ/kg). Considering the car's ground clearance (the amount of space between the ground and the lowest part of the vehicle, except for the tires), the car is believed to be loaded with 1200 kg of propane. In the event of detonation of the van's cargo, accidentally or intentionally, the generated blast wave (overpressure) can cause damage to humans and constructions.

(a) In case of explosion, what would the probability of death due to lung damage be for curious people standing 35 m away in front of a building? Assume a release factor of fE = 0.15 and a positive phase duration of tp = 0.05 s for the generated blast wave. Consider an average weight of 80 kg for an individual.

(b) The city's emergency water tank is 100 m from the van; what would the probability of damage be to the tank due to the blast wave?
