Respond to this prompt: I think that there are many different options that may fit best with the question, what would be the best form of a city government to advance urban sustainability? I can think about different reason for each form of government but in addition to the form of government that is chosen it is also important to foster public participation. Some strategies to foster this participation is having community boards that can be established in neighborhood or district-level, have public hearings to allow for citizens to express their views and concerns, have citizen advisory committees that is made up of citizens with expertise in sustainability to provide guidance and recommendations, and last have online engagement that utilize online platforms to facilitate public engagement.
