Instructions:

For the all three Teamwork Scenario assignments: A, B and C you will work as a team member in the same group for each assignment.

Read the scenario you have been assigned to and your assigned role and the role of each of your team members in the scenario thoroughly. Please put yourself in the shoes of the person/role you have been assigned.

Picture yourself in this person's predicament and these questions:

How would you feel in this situation? What would be your issues? What concerns would you have? How would this situation impact you? What do you have at stake in this situation? What would you like to see happen going forward?

Then create a five-minute video presentation (individually) using the Canvas Media Recorder in which you will discuss your character's issues in the scenario, your character's position in the scenario, and your character's interests in the scenario.

You will start your five minute video by introducing yourself (first and last name), what Scenario number you have been assigned. Remember to wear professional attire and practice your presentation skills that you have gained.

Weak Report Writing Skills
The setting for this scenario is a Rural Detachment led by a Sergeant with six uniform general duties police officers. A first year General Duty/Patrol Constable is consistently struggling with his writing. He struggles with recording all the required information in his notebook, has difficulty translating his notes to reports, and is consistently having reports sent back from the civilians who proofread and approve the reports. As a result, he spends much of his time re-writing reports and as a result, the other four Constables are required to attend the calls he is not responding to in addition to their own. He has not shown any determination to address his weak writing skills and does not acknowledge the extra work this is causing for the rest of the team. In fact, this first year Constable believes the civilians reviewing his work are unrealistic in their expectations of what should be included on the reports and are just "picking on him."

Jasmeen Kaur - Role Eleven: You are a 25-year Sergeant who is in charge of the Detachment. You have just received a letter from the Crown Prosecutor that reports the court brief of the one year Constable was deficient and must be redone. Until now you were unaware about the problem with the one year Constable's written work but you were fully aware about his attitude toward the Civilian Reviewer.
