The correlation between height and weight is r = 0.40 for 12th-grade male respondents (n = 1501) in a survey done in 2003 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System. (The raw data are in the dataset YouthRisk03 on the companion website.)
