Problem: A lab in Los Angeles California wanted to study the effects of tropospheric ozone on the human respiratory system. The study is focused on the short term impacts that ozone has on the respiratory system. In the experiment, there will be 100 human test subjects who work outdoors for at least 6 hours per day. The lab is going to use a Maximal Respiratory Pressure Test to test the strength of each individual's lungs. The test will be performed on each subject for 20 days when the levels of tropospheric ozone are less than 10 ppb, which is considered low. The same test will be performed for 20 days where the tropospheric ozone levels are above 70 ppb, which is considered high.
