The Health Information Management department staff plays a vital role in record assembly, analysis and, most importantly, deficiency management. There is a need to stay consistent and ensure that the HIM departments are in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Healthcare facilities are currently transitioning or are already transitioned to using an EHR or various software products to help streamline medical record deficiencies.

Perform research via internet, library resources, journals etc. on various healthcare facilities and the need to transition to an Electronic Deficiency Management system.
