Case: Using your text and additional references and resources, research the four generational perspectives of each situation. For this exercise, a generational perspective is defined as the general values and attitudes that dictate how a person from a particular generation might think, feel, or act in response to an event. For example: Example: A department conducts annual appraisals of all employees. Traditionals - Most likely feels confident their performance; appraisal just a formality because they usually have personal satisfaction in a job well done. Boomers - Once a year is sufficient; don't necessarily appreciate continuous feedback, but want recognition and financial reward. Generation X - Want feedback more frequently but may feel their freedom is being restricted if micromanaged. Millennials - Want more frequent feedback when they want it; they like to feel connected with continuous communication.
Specifically, for each scenario, review generational information to determine:
- What would a person within each generation think and/or feel?
- What might be the typical behavioral response to this situation?
- What values and attitudes does this perspective reflect?
