A long, narrow, uniform tube of mass M and length l rotates freely about a perpendicular axis through its CM. Initially, its angular velocity about this axis is ?o. A small mass m, whose moment of inertia about its CM can be neglected, is initially just slightly displaced from the axis. As a result it will, after some time, leave the tube. What will the tube's angular velocity be when this happens?
