The 5Cs

  • Customer -Who is your customer?
  • Company - What do you want the positioning and reputation of your company to be?
  • Context - Describe your product or service? Why do you think its important to market this product or service?
  • Collaborators - What other suppliers or partners will you need to work with?
  • Competitors - Who do you see as your competitors?

STP

  • What marketing segmentation do you use? Remember the different types are geographic, behavioral, benefits, demographic, psychographic, and occasion/situation.
  • Who is your target market? Please be specific.
  • How are you positioning your product or service? What is the market need? What advantage do you have over the competition?

4Ps

  • What will be the price of your product or service? What pricing theory have you used to determine the price? What percentage mark-up will you use and why?
  • What place will you have for your product; where will your product or service reside? Will it be a physical location, an e-commerce site, a division of an already existing product place, etc.?
  • How will you promote your product? Write promotional piece including the following: name of product, production positioning, targeted demographic, advantage over competition, benefit to the consumer. Feel free to include any visuals, graphics, illustrations, video or audio.
