Using Horizontal Analysis (show your calculations), present the percentage increase/decrease between the two most current years for the following items:

Net sales or Total revenue if your company has more than one source of revenue. Use the amounts (corrected) you identified in your week 2 post.

Cost of goods sold. Use the amounts (corrected) you identified in your week 2 post.

Gross profit (recall this is Sales - Cost of goods sold)

Selling, general, and administrative expenses (It may not be named with this exact title, but your company should have an account similar to this.)

Net income available to common shareholders (aka Net earnings). Remember from week 2, that this will be the very last Net income amount before the Earnings per Share (EPS) section starts. In other words, use the amounts (corrected if necessary) you identified in your week 2 post.

Note that you've already identified most all of these numbers in your week 2 discussion post, so refer to that post if necessary. If you needed to make corrections to your week 2 post, you should make those corrections and use the corrected numbers. It wouldn't make any sense to use incorrect numbers, right?

Your company may use a slightly different title for Selling, marketing and administrative expenses, but it should be similar and relatively easy to identify. For instance, it could be separated into two accounts called Selling expenses and Marketing expenses. If this is the case, then you'd need to add the two together. Or your company could call it Selling, general, and administrative expenses. If you're not sure how to identify the correct amount, you should post a question to this week's homework forum.
