Essay Question - The time between the years 1000 and 1400 was extremely chaotic and full of death from our modern vantage point, yet European empires continued to grow technologically, culturally, and economically. Pick at least three crises from this time that we discussed in class or from the Brooks textbook. Analyze how these crises impacted Western society. Why did these crises not destroy the West? How did they change gender and/or gender roles? Did they change religious practice? Please expand on any of these questions and include your own analysis!
