Video: Every Meeting Ever
Question 1.) What was your overall impression of the video? How was what occurred in the video relatable to any meetings or gatherings you have attended previously? Are there any personalities you related to? Be honest! I will be the first to admit that I am a little bit of a Negator. :-/
Question 2.) Talk about the 4 personalities you selected and why you selected them. Discuss their behavior in the meeting. What were some of the negative or positive effects of their interactions?
Question 3.) Looking at the 4 personalities you chose, talk about some of the possible strengths you saw in those personalities and make some suggestions as to how those individuals might be better utilized to increase the efficiency and productivity of those meetings.
Question 4.) In the textbook, the cost of working in groups is referred to as process losses. Talk about some effective ways to handle process loss in meetings or group settings that might be less productive and the leaders role in managing those inevitable losses.
Question 5.) Using the textbook as a reference, talk about the formula of productivity and some more efficient tools or concepts a leader or group facilitator can implement (i.e. groupthink, appealing to self-interest of group members, communication and information sharing) to assist in the increase of group productivity.
