Case Study: A four-year study followed the Johnson & Wales freshman through college to track the development of depression. Assume that when all freshman started at JWU none of them had depression, that once a student developed depression, he/she were no longer at risk for depression, and there were 5,250 students in the class. After year one, 124 had developed depression. At year two, 234 more developed depression. By year three, an additional 76 developed depression, and another 37 by year four.
