Discussion Post: The Brain and Sleep Paralysis
Once there, click on the mind/brain tab. That will take you to the most current research in psychology. Then go to the search box (while you're still in the mind/brain tab) and type in a topic of either: sex, stress, exercise, sleep, anxiety, or depression. While in the search box be sure to type your search term with the word "brain". In other words, whatever topic you pick you must add the word brain to it in the search box. For example, "sex brain", "stress brain", "meditation brain" etc. The article you choose must be related to one of those topics but must include the brain. Peruse through the various articles that showed up in the search, just don't select the first one. Also be sure to select an article based on an experiment, not a survey.
Select one of the articles that most interested you and write a brief summary of the report. Your essay should be arranged in the following order and contain information regarding:
I. The purpose / background of the research (you must select an article based on an experiment)
II. The procedures /methods of the research
1. Who / what was in the study? (do not indicate numbers of subjects)
2. What happened to them? Divided into groups?
3. What tools / procedures were involved?
III. The results / finding of the research
1. What were the differences between the groups?
IV. The implications of the research
V. What would be a next logical step in the research given the findings of the study?
