The theme for our final devotional is history and Scripture. Choose a passage of Scripture (your choice) and find out what was corresponding in secular history at that time.

For example, the Book of Esther is about Esther becoming Queen of Persia and preventing the extermination of the Jews. At the same time though, her husband King Xerxes went to fight a notorious battle, which he lost! That battle is commonly known as the Battle of 300, or the Battle of Thermopylae.

Give what was happening in secular history; then continue and close with a reflection of biblical insights and what we learn about God and his ways through the Scripture you chose.
