A 100 2 lossless air transmission line is terminated in a load impedance Zl= 30 + j25 2. Using a Smith Chart and the "crankshaft' diagram, obtain the following: i) A table of values of the normalized magnitude of the voltage phasor on the line as a function of position on the line, with the normalization done relative to the value of the voltage magnitude at the voltage maximum point on the line. You are to specifically find the normalized voltage magnitude values at the load plane and the voltage maxima and minima points on the line and 9 additional points which are spaced at intervals of 0.05A from the load plane, i.e., at a total of 12 points. Repeat i) but now for the normalized current magnitude on the line, again for the same 12 points, and with normalization done relative to the current magnitude at the current maximum point. From the data obtained in i) and ii), plot the voltage and current standing-wave patterns on the same graph. What value do you get for VSWR S from your voltage standing wave pattern? Does this value check with the value read directly off the Smith Chart?
