CASE STUDY SCENARIO

The college at which you are currently studying this subject wishes to extend its use of Social Media to interact more effectively and efficiently with both current and future students. In particular, the Marketing Manager wishes to increase the number of enrollments in current courses which cater for students in the 18-35-year old age group. Potential students live in both Australia and overseas.

  • The Marketing Manager has allocated a budget of $500 per month for the following financial year.
  • Accessing the college's website is a starting point in understanding the college's business. For example, its philosophy, policies, and courses available. Hard copy materials (e.g. brochures) and surveys (interviewing students) will also assist in your research. Investigating similar colleges or organizations will provide additional valuable information about the Australian Vocational Education market.
  • You will be required to evaluate the quality and reliability of the information you have gathered and make a research report for the Management of the College that covers the following topic:
